MVR
Mechanical vapour recompression at 8–14 kWh/m³ of evaporated water.
Mechanical vapour recompression: the vapour is compressed and reused as the heating medium, so evaporation runs on a fraction of the usual energy.
The MVR technology recycles steam and significantly reduces energy consumption in industrial processes. By capturing and compressing vapor, MVR increases the vapor's pressure and temperature, allowing it to be reused as a heating medium. The process efficiently recycles energy within the system, minimizing the need for external heat sources, ideal for applications requiring efficient steam management and energy conservation, with substantial operational cost savings and a lower environmental footprint than conventional methods.

How it works
The process
MVR uses mechanical energy to compress a vapour stream, raising its temperature and pressure. That compressed vapour, now carrying more thermal energy, is used to heat the incoming feed or concentrate and drive further evaporation. Because the latent heat in the vapour is reused rather than discarded, the external energy input needed for evaporation falls sharply, which is what makes evaporative concentration affordable on large flows.
