Scope of supply

UTB designed, built and commissioned the industrial wastewater treatment plant at the Glencore Group's multi-seed crush plant in Foktő (Pannon Növényolajgyártó, now Viterra), across both phases. The effluent is high in fats and organic matter. Physico-chemical pre-treatment with dissolved air flotation feeds HYBRATOR™ (MBBR) biological basins, with a buffer tank ahead of them and sludge storage, a dewatering centrifuge and a disinfection basin behind. Phase 1 (2013) treated 460 m³/day and 16,967 PE; the plant was later extended to take the effluent from the newly built refinery.

  • 556 m³/day
  • 29,893 PE
  • HYBRATOR biological basins behind DAF and buffering
  • Delivered across Phase I and Phase II
  • Completed 2023.
