Scope of supply
Eger was delivered in two phases: the wastewater and sludge treatment line first, then the biogas plant. Mechanical treatment (screens, grit and grease removal, primary settling) feeds anaerobic, anoxic and aeration tanks with secondary settling and recirculation. Sludge is equalised, stored, thickened and mechanically dewatered, and anaerobic digestion of that sludge generates biogas for heat and power. A solar drying facility dries the dewatered sludge further, and an active biofilter treats air from the drying hall, the primary settling tanks and the covered structures so the whole site is odour-controlled.
- 19,700 m³/day
- 83,333 PE
- 1,800 Nm³/day biogas to CHP
- Solar sludge drying + full-site biofilter odour control
- Commissioned May 2022.
