Scope of supply
UTB Envirotec took part in the development of the Nagykanizsa wastewater treatment plant. Biological treatment uses activated sludge with anaerobic, anoxic and aerobic zones for nitrogen and phosphorus removal. Sludge treatment is mesophilic anaerobic digestion, and the biogas is used in boilers and a combined heat and power unit. Digested sludge is dewatered and then composted.
- 21,250 m³/day
- 89,250 PE
- 1,162 Nm³/day biogas to boilers and CHP
- Anaerobic, anoxic and aerobic zones for N and P removal
- 41.6 m³/day of digested sludge dewatered and composted
- Completed 2014.
